A 6.9-magnitude earthquake rumbled off the southern tip of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula Thursday, The U.S. Geological Survey said. The earthquake, at a depth of about 32 miles, was centered about 52 miles southeast of Ozernovskiy, Russia and about 114 miles south-southwest of Vilyuchinsk, Russia, the USGS said. There were no initial reports of casualties or property damage.
