As you know the last few days Boza and I are two bachelors. Our better half is traipsing around Leuven, Belgium. She is absorbing lots of data to make her job even more fun at Gazprombank…
So I made a wonder cup of coffee this morning and started to sip it while I was doing some thinking’s. It seems that my mind is stuck on the flagrant flaunting of rights, that is becoming more normal in America. It is strange that when you are living in America it is real hard to see what is in front of your face. We grow up being bombarded daily with data, data, data and more data. This data starts from birth and never stops. The TV is the greatest baby sitter that was ever invented and now the computer fills the missing gaps…
So when you go to another world (literally) that does not have TV running 24 hours a day, a computer in every home and school or even electricity but half a day or less. You start seeing a difference in the people and their reactions to things…
Now I do not talk about Moscow, Russia because that is close enough to an American city that it might as well be an American city. But lets talk about Russia excluding the biggest cities. Lets talk about Siberia, Mongolia, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and many many others…
When you travel a country like Mongolia. They live in a world of data deficiency, compared to a country like America. Yes I know America has Wyoming, Nevada and other states that are desolate and data deficient. But not like a country or area, with the vast expanses of Siberia and Mongolia…
These people would be considered deaf and dumb to the world and surrounding countries, by American or Moscow standards…
So what am I getting at?

The fact that we are on sensory overload is done on purpose. We are allowed to have unfettered data streaming 24 hours a day – 365 days a year. We do not have time to stop and smell the coffee, because if we did we might discover as I have. That things are not in sync with the data that we acquire 24 hours a day…

Today after 33 years, I finally understand what he was telling me…
We must learn to balance the data to utilize it to its fullest. For only then will we see what lurks behind the closed door…
