All forest fires put out in Russia’s Siberia.

KRASNOYARSK, July 30 (Itar-Tass) — All forest fires in Siberia have been extinguished, a spokesman for the Siberian regional emergencies centre told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

By Saturday, fire fighters have put out the last six fires on an overall area of 28.5 hectares, the spokesman said.

Fire fighting operations involved 70 men and 13 units of hardware. Five aircraft patrolled forests in the round-the-clock mode.

As many as 157 inspections were stages to monitor the fire situation in forests. Seven administrative cases for violations of fire safety rules in forests were opened.

A total of 705 mobile and stationary posts were set up to limit entry to forests.

According to space monitoring data, no thermally active spots have been detected in Siberia.
