Amazon.com In Russia: Expanding that basket of goodies…

Looks like it is going to happen and Amazon has seen the writing on the wall in America and new tax regulations. Amazon has opened the app store up very soon to 200 countries and now they are building a huge warehouse and shipping center in Russia. This is wonderful and the more internet giants that come the better. Russia and the east is going to stay a relative internet safe zone, by comparison to the western markets…

I hear that Kindle is a big deal with the Russian Amazon…

The biggest issue that we have always had to deal with, is shipping to the Russian market from Amazon.com out of America and sometimes the price to ship far outweighed the cost of the product. If you try to add tax on the American side! That would be plain stupid. Now that will be all in the past…

I read some western press and they all down the situation and talk about the bad side of things. Areas like credit cards, transportation and several other issues. I have to say that it is obvious that they (article writers) do not live in Russia. For we here in Russia are the largest internet market in Europe and somehow all that stuff gets delivered. Now it will be even better…

We also have no issues with credit card transactions in any form, as Sveta and I do a lot of our shopping online…

So I am excited about Amazon in Russia and maybe after we get PayPal officially here also, we can do some serious internet sales…
