Charity foundation Liniya Zhizni (Life Line) opened its first regional office in St. Petersburg’s historic shopping center, Gostiny Dvor, last week.

Speaking at the opening, Faina Zakharova, president of the foundation, expressed the importance for the organization in opening an office in the city.

“The northwestern region of Russia is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, and many of the children who need support, live here,” said Zakharova.

“Liniya Zhizni seeks and supports volunteers, donors and partners who care about the lives of children suffering from serious illnesses. From our office, people are able to get detailed information about the work of the foundation, as well as to buy souvenirs and toys with proceeds donated back to the charity. They will also have an opportunity to take part in various master classes that are planned to take place on a regular basis,” she said.

The public is invited to visit the Liniya Zhizni office, ask any questions they may have about the charities’ activities as well as take part in charity actions.

The Liniya Zhizni foundation was founded in 2004 with the aim to help save children with severe illnesses that can be cured with the help of modern medicine technologies.
