The Cuban government freed on Saturday the noted dissident Hector Maseda, who refuses to emigrate to Spain and, instead, plans to return to his home in Havana. The announcement came just hours after the Cuban authorities released another political prisoner, Eduardo Diaz, who had also refused to go into exile in Spain.
