Russia News.Net Thursday 5th December, 2013

Russian mobile manufacturer Yota Devices has launched a dual screen smartphone with 10.9 centimeters touch screens, one in front and one at the back.

According to News24, the front screen of the YotaPhone is a traditional touch LCD, while the back screen is an Electronic paper display (EPD), similar to what is found on the e-readers.

The main benefit of the EPD is that notifications and messages can be displayed consuming a fraction of the power in comparison to a traditional screen leading to less consumption of battery.

According to the report, the LTE-enabled smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 4.2.2 OS, with a dual core 1.7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel main camera. (ANI)
