US security leaker Edward Snowden has been asked to work for a Russian website.
Three months after being given asylum in Russia, Snowden has agreed to work with the Russian company after being offered the position in August.
He started on Friday.
Snowden, through his lawyer, has said he will act as a support and development employee.
While the name of the company is being kept confidential it is believed Snowden took the job to top up cash reserves.
