Popular hashtags include #Happy Victory Day, #AstrakhanVictory, #Makhachkala9May, #9May and #ThankYouGrampsForVictory.
The #Happy Victory Day trend on Twitter went global for two hours on Thursday morning, during the parade on Moscow’s Red Square that marked the 68th anniversary of victory over the Nazis in Europe during World War II.
Twitter users post over 400 million updates daily. Over 200 million Twitter users are viewed as “active” meaning that they post at least one tweet a month.
