RCC has invested over $500 million in its projects in Kazakhstan

Between 2004 and 2012 Russian Copper Company invested $565 million in the group’s businesses located in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Aktyubinsk Copper Company, a limited liability partnership, manages RCC’s local projects.

RCC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that ACC currently owns a mining and enrichment facility capable of processing 4.5 million tons of copper and copper-zinc ores each year. This plant receives raw materials from the 50 Years of October and Priorskoe deposits.

There are plans to have the mining facilities at the Kundyzdy and Limannoe deposits up and running in 2016 and 2022, each of which will be able to produce up to 2 million tons of copper ore per year. In the near future construction will begin on an underground mine at the Vesenne-Aralchinskoe deposit that will have an annual capacity of up to 500 thousand tons of ore.
