Robber Steals Cash, Lotto Tickets from Russian Bank

ST. PETERSBURG, November 3 (RIA Novosti) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank near St. Petersburg stealing cash and lottery tickets, a police spokesman said.

The robber broke into a bank in the village of Zimititsy early on Saturday, opened a metallic box with a key left at the desk and stole 2 million rubles ($62,000) and lottery tickets worth 2,500 rubles ($77.4), he said.

A criminal case into “a large-scale theft” has been opened. The suspect faces up to 10 years in jail if found guilty.
