Russian Cops Fined for Filming ‘Gay Porn’ with Detainees

MOSCOW, October 24 (RIA Novosti) – Two former policemen in Russia’s Urals were fined for filming an attempted prison rape and publishing the video online, local prosecutors reported Thursday.

The video’s main “star” was a local man detained twice for drunkenness last year, Sverdlovsk Region prosecutors said on their website.

The first time, the man undressed and started asking police to have sex with him. The second time, he actually tried to “carry out a homosexual act with another detainee,” the report said.

On both occasions, the officers simply stood nearby filming the scene on their cellphones, later uploading the videos online, prosecutors said, without releasing any names.

The officers were fired last year, and charged with negligence and illegal production of pornographic materials, punishable with up to two years in prison.

However, they eventually got away with fines of between 25,000 rubles and 45,000 rubles ($790 and $1,420), the report said.

Twelve of their superiors also faced disciplinary action over the case, local news website Znak.com reported.

The alleged rapist was charged with sexual assault, local news agency NR2.ru said.
