Table-toppers Zenit, CSKA and Dynamo all drew their games on Matchday 27 of the Russian Premier League.
Zenit St. Petersburg 0-0 Dynamo Moscow
League leaders Zenit and visiting Dynamo both created plenty of chances, but failed to find the net at Petrovsky Stadium.
The game was marred by an injury to Russian international Aleksandr Anykov, who left the pitch after a collision with Muscovite striker Kevin Kuranyi in the second half.
“I hope the fans weren’t bored, though there were no goals scored,” Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti told the club’s official website. “I’m happy with how the guys played and their character. We had many good opportunities when we reached the opponents’ penalty area, but haste prevented us from taking advantage of them. Dynamo also had two or three chances. I think this team has one of the best attacking lines in Russia. So a draw is a good result, despite the chances that we had.”
CSKA Moscow 2-2 Terek Grozny
CSKA failed to go level on points with Zenit, after drawing with Terek.
Leonid Slutsky’s men opened 39 minutes in, when Alan Dzagoev’s free-kick found Vagner Love in the area.
The hosts doubled their lead right after the break. Seydou Doumbia ‘s header found the back of the net in the 47th minute, 2-0.
But the visitors didn’t sit back, and scored twice in the space of only two minutes midway through the second half.
Aleksandr Pavlenko and Mauricio buried CSKA’s hopes of getting all three points, 2-2.
FC Krasnodar 2-0 Rostov
FC Krasnodar beat Rostov with two unanswered goals in the Southern Russia derby.
The hosts took the lead in the dying minutes of the first half through Evgeny Shipitsin, and Brazilian midfielder Joaozinho sealed the final result 30 minutes from time.
In the last game on Saturday, Krylia Sovietov settled for a goalless draw with Volga, 0-0.
