Russian toddler survives being thrown from car into oncoming traffic

A one-year-old girl is thrown from a car into oncoming traffic after the vehicle loses control on an icy highway near Nizhny Novgorod, about 300 miles east of Moscow. A lorry is forced to swerve to avoid the toddler. Police said the girl, who was not strapped into a child car seat, but simply lying across the car’s back seat, survived unhurt
