NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden’s father, Lon Snowden has reportedly said that his son has more secrets to share and advised him to stay in Russia to ensure that the true story is told.

Lon Snowden recently met Edward in Russia, where he has been granted a temporary asylum in a bid to escape extradition to the US over espionage charges for leaking highly classified data about the country’s alleged secret surveillance programmes.

According to stuff.co.nz, Lon Snowden revealed that his son was comfortable and happy staying Russia and is committed to what he has done.

Father Snowden further said that Edward is not a fugitive but a legal asylee of the Russian Federation and the press needs to get that right.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated that Russia will continue to protect Edward if he stops harming the US with his revelations, the report added. (ANI)
