Spartak Pounded by SKA Sets KHL Record for Defeats

MOSCOW, January 25 (R-Sport) – Spartak Moscow suffered a 5-1 pounding by SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL on Saturday, setting a new league record of 15 straight defeats. Spartak has not won since its main sponsor Investbank collapsed last month, plunging the team into a financial crisis and raising doubts over whether it could withdraw from the KHL, something the club denies it plans to do.
