MEXICO CITY, May 9 (RIA Novosti) – Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has sent his congratulations to Russia on Victory Day.
“Happy anniversary, Russia. Thanks to your heroism, the humanity was saved from Nazism and fascism, eternal memory to the fallen soldiers,” Maduro said on his Twitter account.
In his message, Maduro posted a link to photos and an article about the Victory Day Parade in Moscow.
Victory Day that Russia celebrates on May 9 marks the final defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Union in World War II.
