WASHINGTON, July 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Dmitry Rogozin, Russia’s special envoy on missile defence, who is currently in the United States for missile defence talks with representatives from the Obama administration, on Friday had a meeting with a number of top-ranking officials from the U.S. Department of State.
“Today, Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Ellen Tauscher, Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance Rose Gottemoeller, and Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon met with Ambassador Rogozin at the State Department. They discussed missile defense cooperation and other issues related to strengthening strategic stability,” the State Department said in a release on Friday, providing no more details.
According to the release, Rogozin is scheduled to visit the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command headquarters in Colorado Springs on Monday, July 25.
