All posters in Moscow showing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev as Captain America have been dismantled, city government spokesman Vladimir Yakovlev said on Tuesday.
According to some media reports, the posters had appeared on Moscow streets earlier in the day.
“These posters are an act of hooliganism. All of them have been dismantled,” Yakovlev said.
He did not say exactly how many Medvedev posters had been placed in Moscow.
In mid-July posters showing Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as James Bond were displayed around Moscow.
City government media and advertising chief Vladimir Chernikov said at the time those responsible for placing the posters would be called to account.
