MOSCOW — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree to form an interdepartmental commission for counteracting extremism in Russia. The interior minister will chair the commission, the Russian presidential press service reported on Friday. The lineup of the commission should be approved within a month.

MOSCOW — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sent a congratulatory message to his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala on the inauguration as the president of the country and on Independence Day, which is the national holiday in the Republic of Peru.
