MANAGUA, Nicaragua – The Nicaraguan government says Russia and Nicaragua have broken up a drug trafficking ring that supplied cocaine to Europe and was headed by a member of Mexico’s brutal Zetas cartel. Police Commissioner Fernando Borge says that Nicaraguan police, with help from Russian authorities, detained 26 alleged ring members who have links to Nicaraguan businessman Henry Farinas. Farinas was sentenced last year to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering.
