A Nizhny Novgorod court has given a four-year suspended sentence to a woman, who had been heading to a courtroom drunk and knocked a bailiff down the stairs, the local investigation committee said on Friday.

“The bailiff fell down and struck the stone surface of the staircase landing, breaking his arm in several places. According to an expert, these injuries (including a shattered fracture) inflicted grave harm to the man’s health,” a press release issued by the committee said.
