Russia is to help Afghanistan built power stations and dams and rebuild a number of Soviet-era projects like road tunnels, fertilizer plants, irrigation systems and construction parts factories. President Medvedev issued assurances about this to his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai at a Kremlin meeting on Friday. He also accepted an invitation to visit Afghanistan.
