The driver of a BMW car shot a pedestrian with a gas pistol in south-western Moscow on Thursday afternoon and fled the scene, police said.
The incident occurred following an argument. The driver got out of his car, drew his pistol, shot the man in the jaw and hit him several times.
The pedestrian, a 58-year old Azerbaijani national, has been admitted to hospital where he has undergone an operation.
Police are searching for the attacker.
