Plane Emergency Lands in Siberia after Child’s Death

MOSCOW, December 13 (RIA Novosti) – A passenger aircraft made an emergency landing in the Russia Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk after a five-year-old child died during the flight, a local transportation investigative department said.

“A five-year-old child died on the morning of December 13 on board of a Boeing-777 aircraft en route from Moscow to Khabarovsk,” a statement from the department said.

During the flight the child was not feeling well and his health condition was only deteriorating. The captain of the plane’s crew decided to make an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk.

“However, despite all the efforts, doctors only officially pronounced the death of the child as they arrived at the aircraft,” the statement said.

Investigators are establishing all details of the accident and the cause of the child’s death.
