Russian expats in US angry over biased TV portrayal

Russian expats living in the US are up in arms over a reality show about to air on local TV.

“Russian Dolls” is a 12-part series showing what the makers say is the everyday life of several residents of Brighton Beach.

These include the owner of a modeling school, a pair of night-club owners and several jobless young women is search of love and money.

They spend most of their time shopping, sunbathing and partying.

This has provoked outrage among Russian expats, who say they do not want to be associated with these stereotypes.
