Spartak Moscow crash out of Europa League

Spartak Moscow have leaked an injury-time goal to lose 3-2 at home to Legia Warsaw, and go crashing out of the Europa League play-offs on a 5-4 aggregate defeat.

The Kombarov twins sparked Spartak into a 2-0 lead. Kirill opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game at Luzhniki before Dmitry converted a penalty midway through the first half.

But Legia pulled the match back level before the break.

And late in injury time, Janusz Gol headed home the winner for Legia.

Meanwhile, Lokomotiv traveled to Slovakia with a two-goal advantage from their first game against Spartak Trnava and did just what they were expected to do finishing the second leg 1-1.

Meanwhile, the kick-off was delayed for second-tier Alania hosting Besiktas after torrential rain hit Vladikavkaz. Alania need to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg.
