Yurgens Doubts Putin to Run

ST. PETERSBURG — Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is unlikely to challenge President Dmitry Medvedev in next year’s presidential election, said adviser to the president Igor Yurgens. Medvedev’s second term in office would give “a lot of reassurance” to foreign investors because of his plan to modernize the economy, Yurgens, chairman of Moscow’s Institute for Contemporary Development, said in an interview.
