Russia’s Federal Tariff Service has raised gas transit tariffs for independent producers, via Gazprom’s gas transit system, by an average of 7 percent from July 1, 2012, the service said on Friday.
“The FTS has reviewed the May 4 decision. From July 1, the average growth in tariffs will be 7 percent,” a source in the agency said.
The tariff rise was initially planned to be 9.46 percent but a subsequent May 18 order prposed lowering this to 4.8 percent, before the FTS decision subsequently raising it to 7 percent.
