Turkey’s grounding of plane ‘illegal’, says Syrian airlines

The director of Syrian Arab Airlines, Ghaida Abdulatif, says the way Turkey intercepted a Syrian aircraft flying from Russia was ‘illegal’. Abdulatif said the plane was carrying legal cargo. Turkish military jets escorted the Damascus-bound Airbus A-320, which was carrying around 30 passengers from Moscow, to an Ankara airport late on Wednesday
