The U.S. Meteorological Service retracted a tsunami warning after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Atka Island in Alaska.
A tsunami warning was issued for the Alaskan coast and the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada and was in effect for approximately one hour.
The earthquake struck late Thursday evening local time and was centered 172 kilometers (107 miles) to the east of Atka Island in the Aleutians at a depth of 46.8 kilometers (29 miles).
There are no reports of damage or injuries after the quake. Less than 100 people live on Atka Island.
