ST. PETERSBURG, July 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The products of a new harvest, an attracting smell of fruit, honey and a fresh bread will reign at the international agrarian and industrial show Agrorus-2011 in St. Petersburg on August 22-28.
The farmers from Russia, China and Poland will participate in the 20th agrarian show in the city on the Neva River, project director Natalia Golubeva told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The exhibition will have sweeping business and cultural entertainment agendas. The exhibition will place its stands with the gifts of a new harvest. The beauty contest “Miss Agrorus-2011” and a congress on the problems of the agrarian and industrial sector will be held.
The exhibition dates back to 1992, when the Russian Association of Farms initiated the revival of Russian agrarian fairs, which were so famous in the past. The world fair Russian Farmer was held then. But the fair was renamed in 2001.
The governments of Russia, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the State Duma, specific ministries and agencies and the Lenexpo Company organized the fair.
