UAC seeks to seal deals on export of over 100 airliners at MAKS

MOSCOW, August 14 (Itar-Tass) — The United Aircraft Corporation plans to sign contracts on the export of over 100 jet airliners on the sidelines of the MAKS 2011 air show in Zhukovsky near Moscow due on August 16-21, an aircraft industry official told Itar-Tass.

The talk is about supplies of MS-21 type airliners and Sukhoi Superjet 100.

Earlier, the air show’s director-general, Vladimir Borisov, noted that the contracts to be signed at the show may exceed 10 billion dollars.

According to market participants, Russia’s state corporation Russian Technologies and UTair air carrier are in talks with the aircraft producers.

The United Aircraft Corporation was set up in February 2006. Its charter capital totals almost 202 billion roubles. Russia owns an 83 percent stake.
