Google’s Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt sees Russia as the world’s future IT-leader, Russian presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich said on Saturday.
Schmidt was among the participants of the informal talks with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and business representatives on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Hawaii.
“Eric Schmidt… said that Moscow and St.Petersburg could become the world’s centers for IT-companies in terms of personnel’s qualification,” Dvorkovich said.
The talks included the heads of companies such as Google, JohnsonJohnson, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Russian energy giant Gazprom.
