The talks between Presidents Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan in Moscow resulted in the signing of a treaty on trade and economical cooperation. At the talks, Mr. Medvedev and Mr. Karzai discussed the situation in and around Afghanistan. Their views were reflected in the two presidents’ joint statement.
