Five Iraqi armed groupings say they are ready to end their armed struggle and join mainstream politics, Al-Iraqiya TV channel reports.
The group’s representative Sheikh Mahmoud Djenabi said the decision came ahead of this year’s planned US military pullout from the country .
The Iraqi government welcomes the agreement with the onetime rebels as a political breakthrough.
