Armenia President Sargsyan to talk cooperation with Russia’s Medvedev

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on an official visit to Russia on October 23-25, will meet on Monday with President Dmitry Medvedev to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation.

“Dmitry Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan are expected to discuss a broad variety of key issues in the bilateral cooperation, perspectives for the further development of the political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation as well as top issues on the international agenda,” the Kremlin said in a statement.

“A package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements in the spheres of humanitarian and youth exchanges, healthcare, economy and foreign policies is expected to be signed after the talks,” the statement added.

President Sargsyan is also expected to meet with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, heads of both houses of the Russian parliament and the mayor of Moscow and to deliver a speech at the Moscow State University.

During the visit, Sargsyan is accompanied by Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian and other high-ranking Armenian state officials.
