Bodies of another three victims of Bulgaria disaster found

MOSCOW, July 24 (Itar-Tass) — The Russian Ministry for Emergencies confirmed that the bodies of another three victims of the Bulgaria disaster have been found.

“While inspecting the motor ship, divers found the bodies of another three dead passengers. Thus, the Ministry for Emergencies confirmed the death of 117 people,” Itar-Tass learnt at the public relations service of the ministry.

Five people are recorded as missing at this time. The search work continues.

The Bulgaria cruise ship is now on a bank near the Kirelskoye boat-yard next to the dock. Ministry specialists are welding windows on the starboard side of the vessel, on which the motor ship lay after the wreck and are pumping water from it.

Later, when investigation work is carried out at the Bulgaria, it is planned to scrap it.

The Bulgaria which was on the Bolgary-Kazan cruise route, sank in the Kuibyshev Water Reservoir on July 10. It had 201 people aboard, and only 79 of them were rescued.
