Brothers who sheltered suicide bomber in Moscow get jail terms

A Moscow court on Monday sentenced two men to 14 months in prison for harboring a female suicide bomber who was preparing to blow herself up on Red Square last year.

The bomber was killed when the bomb went off by accident at a night club.

The brothers Sultan and Sadir Abdulkerimov pled guilty to the crime.

Because the two men have already served nine months in a pretrial detention center – more than half their sentence – they are eligible for parole.

The Investigative Committee earlier said the bomb attack was planned by “an illegal armed group from the North Caucasus.”
