200 carrier pigeons have been stolen from a dovecote in Moscow Region.
The owner has lost not only his life project but hundreds of thousands of roubles.
“People have been talking about them here, about how clever they are,” a local lad told Lifenews.
Practically the whole dynasty of pigeons were stolen, only 11 remained, the PodMoskva police press service.
Locals are coming out in support. “If I knew who did it, I would kill the bastards,” Nikolai threatened.
There is still a chance that the birds will return home under their own steam.
