Criminal case opened over murder of secondary school director in Dagestan.

MAKHACHKALA, July 9 (Itar-Tass) — A criminal case has been opened over the murder of a secondary school director in the village of Sovetskoye in Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Dagestan, a source in the republican interior ministry told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

The criminal case was opened on charges of murder and illegal possession of arms.

According to the source, the man, Sadikullah Akhmedov, born 1952, was killed overnight to Saturday.

“At about 01:30 a.m. Moscow time on Saturday, two unidentified gunmen broke into the courtyard of Akhmedov’s house and shot several times from their handguns,” the source said. Akhmedov died instantly of wound in the abdomen. Police found several 9-mm cartridge cases at the scene.

Measures are taken to identify and arrest the murderers.
