Russian Far East telecommunications provider, Dalsvyaz, has posted a FY 2010 net profit of 2.47 billion roubles under IFRS.
The net result was down 2% year on year from the FY 2009 net profit of 2.52 billion roubles, with FY OIBDA also declining 1% to 6.13 billion roubles, despite revenues rising 6% to 18.27 billion roubles from 17.2 billion roubles a year earlier.
Dalsvyaz says that the subscriber base of broadband internet access increased 15% in the course of 2010 to reach 517,500 users, however, OIBDA was down mostly due to risingoperational costs.
Dalsvyaz is one of seven inter-regional Svyazinvest companiesthat will cease to exist independently as of April 1, when they are joined to the state telecommunications holding’s main subsidiary, Rostelecom.
