The opposition demonstration in the Algerian capital has been practically suppressed by the police. Only several hundreds of young people are still in the streets. The police are controlling all the entries to the city and all the governmental offices with double force. Several most aggressive demonstrators have been arrested. The demonstrators were demanding a change of government.
