The French Air Force Command denies earlier reports by Libyan state television about a French military jet having been shot down the nation’s capital Tripoli.
The US, Britain, France, Italy and Canada are taking part in the ongoing military operation and Spain is to join in shortly. Coalition forces have already fired more than 100 cruise missiles at Libyan air defense installations and delivered numerous airstrikes on civilian sites in Tripoli and other big sites and oil reservoirs in Misrata.
There’ve been reports of many civilians already killed and injured.
