Vimpelcom, operator of Beeline mobile network, will be offering its Moscow and Moscow region clients free text messages on Sep. 10, Lenta.ru reported.
The company announced “the day of unlimited SMS” on Thursday, as compensation for an outage on Tuesday that left many network users in Moscow and the Moscow region without a connection.
The company fixed the mistake, and said that it occurred because of trouble with their IP network that started on Tuesday at 3 pm, but was sorted out two hours later. Full connection was restored the same day by 6:30 pm.
