The situation at Japan’s troubled Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant remains serious with white white smoke oozing from Unit 1 less than a day after the station’s malfunctioning Unit 3 spewed plumes of black smoke forcing workers to leave the dangerous area.
Meanwhile, the contaminated zone continues to expand with increased radioactivity levels already registered in 10 prefectures.The sea water, used to cool the reactors and the spent fuel reservoirs, is also radioactive experts say.
