Dmitry Medvedev approved a list of instructions issued following the meeting on the establishment of an international financial centre in Russia, which took place on March 4, 2011.
The Government, in conjunction with the Central Bank of Russia, has been instructed to ensure the recognition of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and interpretations of the same, as well as to take measures to bring the Russian accounting and reporting standards in line with the IFRS.
The Russian Government, jointly with the governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region, has been assigned tasks associated with the development of appropriate infrastructure.
Moscow City Government is to take steps to raise the standard of educational institutions in the capital.
