Russia believes an attempt to resolve the nuclear disagreements with Iran by force would trigger a regional or even global catastrophe, and the latest batch of international sanctions against the Iranians can persuade them to return to talks with the Security Council’s Permanent Five plus Germany and resume cooperation with the International Atomic Energy.
Speaking in Moscow Wednesday, Foreign Minister Lavrov also said the Iranians must come one hundred percent clean on the nature of their nuclear energy programme.
