Japan’s quake may cause $187 bln in damage

Japan’s earthquake and tsunami may cause damage of a whopping 13 trillion yen, Japanese experts said on Thursday.

They were echoed by their foreign colleagues who claimed that the latest natural disasters in Japan may cause at least 187 billion dollars in damages.

Many have already likened last week’s quake to one in the Japanese city of Kobe in 1995, which claimed the lives of 6,400 people.
