The jubilee 10th session of the Russian Economic and Financial Forum in Switzerland has opened in Zurich. This year, the principal focus is on such topics as the impact of the global economic and financial crisis on long-term development plans in Russia, the prospects of creating an international financial center in Russia.
Also up for consideration is Russian-Swiss economic cooperation and specific bilateral projects.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Russian Ambassador to Switzerland Igor Bratchikov noted that Russia is actively seeking to adopt positive Swiss experience in such areas as energy efficiency and conservation, medicine and pharmaceuticals, aerospace and IT.
